Meet The Team

Andy Cook

Founder & Partner

Andy specialises in helping investors and organisations grow businesses better and faster. He has over 20 years of operational and consulting experience starting and growing businesses, including his own online travel company, takethefamily.com, and creating/managing change in large organisations. He has extensive multi-national and multi-cultural experience, an MBA from New York's Columbia Business School (Deans List), speaks fluent German, and is a UK/US citizen.

Wayne Tessier

Partner

Wayne has over 25 years of hands on commercial experience in a variety of sales and leadership roles. He has worked across private and public sectors in food, food to go and beverages, both in private and private equity owned businesses. Wayne has navigated through high growth situations, mergers, acquisition and integration. He is a certified trainer, practiced coach and team development expert with a PhD in Biochemistry from Hull University.

Marek Izmajlowicz

Partner

Marek has fifteen years of consulting experience, including Kearney and ZS Associates, focusing on all aspects of commercial effectiveness and organisational transformation. He has experience across a range of sectors and specific expertise with pharmaceutical and biotech clients. He has a PhD, MEng, MA(Hons) in Engineering from Cambridge University.

John McGhee

Associate Partner

John has over fifteen years’ experience consulting to board members and executive teams on commercial strategy and rapid operational improvement. He has deep expertise working with organisations operating at the intersection of private and public sectors in Europe and the Middle East. John has a PhD, MBA from Cranfield School of Management, MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.

Katriina Makinen

Associate Director

Katriina is a commercially experienced professional with a scientific background and over 20 years of international experience across Pharmaceutical & Biotech, Healthcare and a SaaS platform for the Utility and Construction sectors. She has worked in small startups, medium growth companies and large corporates, both private, public and PE backed. She is a trained coach and experienced mentor with a passion for streamlining day to day activities, optimising processes, driving growth strategies and supporting others in their career progression.

Susie Smith

Digital Marketing Expert

Susie is an experienced Digital Marketing Consultant with a background of over 20 years in Digital Media and Paid Advertising. She has worked in leadership roles for Internet and AdTech companies before setting up her own marketing agency in 2017. She specialises in working with business owners who seek better results from their digital marketing using Google Ads, Meta & LinkedIn paid & organic social media. Susie has a BA (Hons) in German & International Studies from Warwick University.
